Kathleen C. Chavez - Of Counsel

Attorney Kathleen C. Chavez brings to Foote-Meyers a diverse practice background that includes complex litigation ranging across the municipal, state, administrative, federal and multi-district levels.

Chavez, who works with Foote-Meyers on an Of-Counsel basis, received her law degree from Northwestern University in 1998, the same year she was admitted to practice in Illinois. She earned her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in 1995.

Chavez carries significant trial experience and has been involved in many complex class-claims that have ranged from personal injury and product liability to employment discrimination to consumer fraud. Working closely with firm partner Robert M. Foote, she plays a significant role in Foote-Meyers work on national complex litigation cases

Her background in all practical aspects of litigation also includes creation of pleadings and motions, as well as trial and appellate work. Chavez’s work has been instrumental in class action and multi-plaintiff cases resulting in over $1 billion dollars of recoveries.
