Summary Judgment Granted in Favor of Minority Shareholders
Mr. Tarpey represented minority shareholders in their derivative action against a technology company after the company attempted to withdraw the minority shareholders' employment/compensation agreements and strip the minority shareholders of their equity interests. The trial court entered summary judgment in favor of the minority shareholders and against the company, finding that the minority shareholders were entitled to reasonable compensation under their employment agreements and to fair market value of their respective equity interests in the company.
