Confidential Award in Case of Improperly read CT scan that resulted in woman’s death

After suffering a head injury caused by a fall in her home, Marian was taken by her daughter to the emergency room at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL for treatment. Marian was given a CT scan, and sent home to await results.

The scan was mis-read by a radiologist, and as a result improper medications were given to Marian, and caused her death.
